Just a Note The Shabby Tea Room challenge
This is my project for The Shabby Tea Room challenge. This weeks challenge was to make a card or project out of scraps. This is literally made from scraps for scrap paper. I used MTME template and sized it to hold 2 1/2" x 3" scrap paper, you can size it any size you want. The music notes are just a little play on words for note paper.

Just a Note
There is a little story that goes along with this note pad holder...... My son has his own manufacturing company and one of the things they make are mail sorting machines. When they do this the company orders mail to test the machines with. I do the mail for him and to make a long story short, we always have scraps of paper left over after cuttting the paper to size. There are all different sizes and they would always throw it out, well I couldn't stand to see it thrown away so I would bring it home. It always came in handy, but I seem to acquire quite a bit of it, so I thought how I used it to do a test stamp on when I was doing a project or write a measurement on or some type of note. I used My Time Made Easy card catch all template and reduced the size and made it a note pad holder, [hince the music notes] This paper happens to be 2 1/2 x 3" but you can size it to what ever size paper you want. Thought it might be fun to see what ideas you could come up with to use this scrap paper. I guess you could say I challenge you. There will also be prizes. Think about it and I will have all information on it in a day or so. Hope you come back to play along.

More Easter Treats
Here is another version of candy treats to hand out for Easter. Of course you have to have a variety. These were very easy to make and you can change the saying for what ever occasion you want. I just filled some cello bags with some candy, made a topper out of cardstock, stamped and colored an egg on it, then punched out scallop oval and circles and layered Happy Easter that I had printed out on my computer.

Easter Treats
My kids have always been givers...............and of course with six kids that meant most of the gifts had to be home made. They would volunteer me for every holiday school party and say oh my mom can have a 100 for tomorrow no problem. There was always the teachers, the Sunday School teachers, the bus driver, the play ground lady, the lady in the office and the list goes on. Don't get me wrong I loved every minute of it. Then it was prom flowers, after they were older and out of school, it started to be wedding showers, baby showers, nut cups, wedding flowers, center pieces and even flowers for the church and wedding party. Once again, I loved doing it. Now they are all grown with their own families and guess what, they still come up with projects for me. My youngest daughter needed 100 {magic number} favors to hand out at church on Easter, oh and while I was at it I could make some extra for her to give to her co-workers. So I got some Easter m&m's and put them in the narrow cello bags , cut little wrappers to fit, stamped them and put a bow on them. Very easy and inexpensive. I have some other favors to do and will try and post them tomorrow. I still love doing it and it makes me feel good that they still want to give out my handmade treats.

Our Daily Bread Design blog hop
Yesterday I entered the ODBD blog hop for their march releases, I saw some beautiful and amazing cards.
Also was the release of My Time Made Easy March products. They to had some amazing cards and templates.
The more I go to all the different blogs, some I have never visited before the more enthused I get to get started and compete in some of the challenges. Hope to learn more about uploading, etc. so I can. I have experimented and learned a few things on my own. I'll get there but would still be happy for any comments or advice.
