I so believe that friends are angels here on earth...........

I was having a rough day yesterday,  My oldest son came over and brought lunch, he waited on me hand and foot, got my lunch ready, served me and made sure I was comfortable as I was in quite a bit of pain.  How ever I didn't think about asking him to go check on my mail.......

Later in the evening my youngest daughter and her family  came over.  My 10

year old granddaughter came in to stay with me and help out and most of all be company for me.  (she is just like me, we think a lot alike and she is quite crafty)

 To  cut thru the chase I ask her to get my mail and along with a few little junk mail items she was wagging in a brown envelope in not knowing the treasure she was delivering.....

I opened the envelope and was over whelmed not only with the content but with the shear fact that someone had thought of me.  That special someone was Linda B.

I was amazed when I opened the package, it was a lovely pen which I am assuming her husband made and a beautiful hand made card.  Needless to say that topped any dose of medicine I had had all day.

1. I am a neat freak
2. I have 6 kids that I love very much and always prided myself on making a good home for them.
     (whether they liked it or not)
3. Always tried to live by the motto watch what you say to others, it may be the last words you ever
     speak or the last words they ever hear.
4. Am so glad that I started blogging I have met wonderful people that  I DO consider friends....
5. Was married to my first husband for 27 years and had 6 children, he passed away at a young age
      due to a terminal illness
6.  Married an older man that was wonderful to me, we were married 13 years when he passed away
7.  Have been so blessed in my life and sometimes feel like I don't share it with others enough

Another sweet surprise

I received another sweet surprise today, it was from Vicki from the Rusty Rooster.  Check out this site......  I happened on it one day and have been a frequent visitor ever since.

I have roosters in my kitchen so look what I did.

I had a metal pitcher that I have some wooden utensils in and on the tag it said Believe

I added one of the rooster tags Vicki sent and I love it.

She sent me some of the prettiest embellishments and an absolutely gorgeous handmade card.. Thank you so much, I love everything and can't wait to use it.

Thank You Kirsty for the surprise package I received in the mail.  It was a pretty package of chipboard shapes with a beautiful handmade card that I adore.

Having a little more trouble staying down than I thought I would have but I know that is only prolonging the healing process, but I am trying..................

Not easy just laying around

First of all this is not as easy as it sounds.... When your not used to being off your feet and doing for yourself, it is hard to get used to.  I actually have not yet and find myself up and about without even thinking about it, anyway here is one of my first little projects.......

I call them purse pals.. they are about 4" long and 1 1/2" wide.  When you don't want to carry a big tablet or note pad in your purse these are just the right size to jot down a phone number or blog address.

I added a little embellishment on the front and put a clip to help keep it closed//

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Don"t know if you would call this a vacation, but it was a surprise

I had a doctor appointment Thursday morning but ended up in the ER on Wednesday, was admitted and

came home yesterday.  Although someone waited on me for everything I can't really consider it a vacation.  Anyway I am home will be completely off my feet for 5 to 6 weeks so I hope to use this time to do some serious crafting.
