Scleraderma Foundation

The Shabby Tea Room has a challenge this week, Pick your cause.  This was a very difficult challenge for me to participate in and even thought I wouldn't, but my husband passed away in 1992 from a disease called Scleraderma.  We had never heard of it and didn't know anything about it and actually there is very little known about it because it is so rare. 

The reason I decided to do this challenge is because I am so proud of my youngest daughter and youngest son.  Last summer they did a 5K walk to raise money for the Scleraderma Foundation.  They raised over $1000.00.

The incentive for my card is from the shirts they designed and had printed up, everyone that did the walk for them wore one of these shirts.

The front of the shirt had a picture of my late husband, (their dad) on the front and  Walking it forward, on the back they had the other things on it which you will see on my card.

The heart and the keys represent our love for him and the keys are the key to the future to find a cure.

A Little Bling Mini Album



I had picked this little chipboard mini album up and forgot I had it, I found it and thought  I would bling it up just for fun.



then you flip it over and ........



I used charms, did a couple of picture frames, made a couple of pockets, added a few die cuts and its up to who ever ends up with it to fill it all in

I used a new stamp set I just got................

I stamped the perfume bottle and embosseed it

As well as the Thanks you

I made a rosette out of lace inked the edges and added one of my handmade stick pins.  ]

Pretty and Pink and Green

This is the first time I have tried this challenge.  It is from Mona Pendleton from Cupcakes Creation 

I used a light pink and light green designer paper, I stamped sheet music and embossed it in clear.

I added an organza bow in light green and attached a light green trinket pin, which will be available soon on my on line store..........

Next I added a ribbon guide which I covered in designer paper and added some music note charms

Last I stamped and embossed my violin image on the same pink designer paper and embossed it in white.

Halloween Treat Box and Tag

Halloween Treat Box and Tag

It's the time of year that all the holidays are coming up fast.  I love to give and all tho I don't know what I might be giving I like to have a little packaging on hand.  There are several challenges this week using the Holiday theme, so I went with Halloween and came up with a teat box and tag.

Of course the box has 4 sides so here is a picture of each

Then theres the tag, which is cute just to hand out to a co-worker, or in the mail box for the post man or just someone you see, store clerk or whoever.  Can be given with a fun size candy bar for a little treat.

Doily and Lace Swap

It is Saturday October 2nd, the door bell rang and the mail lady had a package for me.  I wasn't sure what it was because I had ordered some stamps, etc.  It was a box a good size box and it was from Susan Wanat my swap partner.  Right then I knew I had made a huge goof........................even if the box was filled with packing peanuts, which it wasn't I had not sent her nearly what she had sent me.

When I opened the box I could not believe my eyes, the first thing I pulled out was a beautiful hand made card, inside was a sweet sincere message.

Then I saw a lot of tissue paper and couldn't wait to dig into it, and when I did it just kept coming, beautiful lace ribbons, flowers, pearls, papers, rub ons, beads, and more beads, and more beautiful things.
